Yanislav Yanchev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food. He holds a master's degree in ecology and environmental protection at the Forestry University. Yanchev's professional career for the past 15 years has been connected with the State Fund “Agriculture“ and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. From 2008 to 2024, he worked in the “Direct Payments” in DFZ. He started as an expert, and later was appointed head of the “Processing and authorization of support applications“ and head of the department "Implementation of schemes and measures per unit of area". He also held the position of head of the "Direct Payments" department. in the Directorate “Direct Payments and Quality Schemes“ in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Rumyana Petkova has been appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy. Rumyana Petkova has worked at the Social Assistance Agency since 2005, where she started as a social worker and went through various management positions. From 2010 to 2017, he was the director of the Regional Directorate for Social Assistance – Blagoevgrad. From November 2017 to July 2023, he held the position of Executive Director of the Agency. He currently works at the National Insurance Institute. Has a master's degree in “Public Administration” and on “Finance“.
Mihaela Mechkunova-Stamboliyska has been appointed Deputy Minister of Justice. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a master's degree in law from the Southwest University “Neofit Rilski“, Blagoevgrad and has legal capacity. In the period October 2014 - August 2016, she was an expert lawyer at the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises. From 2016 to 2023, he successively held the positions of senior, chief and state expert in the "Legislative Council" directorate. in the Ministry of Justice. From November 2023 to April 2024, she held the position of head of the "Legal Activities" department. in the Main Directorate “Civil Aviation Administration” and from 25.04.2024 to 25.08.2024 she was the head of the political cabinet at the Ministry of Justice.
Kalin Velov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Culture. In 2004, Velov graduated from the National Academy of Music “prof. Pancho Vladigerov“ - the city of Sofia, subsequently acquiring a master's degree in the specialty "Pop and jazz percussion instruments". From 2017 to 2020, he was an advisor to the Minister of Culture. In June 2020, he was elected as a representative in the 44th National Assembly and is a member of the Committee on Culture and the Committee on Youth and Sports.
Elena Shekerletova has been appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. From July 2023 to April 2024, she held the same position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the period 2019-2023, Shekerletova was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Federal Republic of Germany. From 2017 to 2019, she was the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and before that she was the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of our country to the Republic of Austria. Elena Shekerletova is a long-time employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She graduated from Sofia University ”St. Kliment Ohridski”, specialty “Law”, specialized in Constitutional and International Public Law at the Max-Planck-Institute, Heidelberg.
