A man was shot while hunting in Sofia.
Around 9:50 a.m. on October 5, a report was received in RU-Svoge that a hunter had been shot while hunting in the land of the village of Elenov Dol.
Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The victim was transported to hospital with a working diagnosis of “polytrauma“ and brought into an operating room.
The hunter who fired the shot was identified and detained for up to 24 hours.
He voluntarily surrendered a legally owned hunting rifle. In this case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated for a crime committed under Art. 134, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Criminal Code. Actions on the investigation continue under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, reports the Ministry of the Interior.
