After the end of the summer season when people traveled during the holidays si, is there a trend towards an increase in the price of fuel?
Between 1 and 3 cents is the increase in fuel prices in the last few weeks.
According to Dimitar Hadjidimitrov, chairman of the Association of Bulgarian Fuel Traders, Producers and Importers, prices at larger gas stations are 5 to 7 cents higher.
„In a free market, we see heterogeneous prices, which is normal. They are currently quite user-friendly. In the last three years, these are the lowest fuel prices – with nearly 30 cents lower”, said Dimitar Hadjidimitrov.
He recalled that fuel prices in Bulgaria are the lowest in the European Union.
According to him, there is currently no such demand for petroleum products and that is why the price is so low.
„Traditionally, every winter the price of gas is higher by about 10 cents because most of the energy that needs to be invested in the production of propane-butane. It is normal to see higher prices at this time of the year”, explained Hadjidimitrov.
