The leader of "There is such a people" (ITN) Slavi Trifonov announced that they would sign the declaration of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria". (PP-DB) in relation to "freeing the institutions and the electoral process from corrupt influences", if they sign their declaration, which concerns the clearing of the "dead souls" from the voter lists.
This is stated by Slavi Trifonov in a post on Facebook.
"There is no problem with signing such a declaration, but before that I am sending a declaration to Kiril Petkov and a company that I want them to sign before I sign the one they sent me," says Trifonov. According to him, the removal of "dead souls" from the electoral rolls is absolutely necessary for the electoral process to become legitimate and acceptable to the Bulgarian citizens. "If PP-DB signs this declaration, I will immediately sign theirs", he states.
Trifonov also notes that "dead souls" it's not just the dead who have suddenly "voted" for a party from abroad.
It is clear from his words that an anomaly sometimes allows 1,500 people to be registered as living at an address, usually in a Roma neighborhood.
He recalls that ITN has repeatedly stated that they will not negotiate with "DPS-New Beginning". and participate together in government.
