In connection with an open letter sent by the Institute for Road Safety / IPB / to the institutions and the media, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works /MRRD/ categorically objects to the attempts to discredit representatives of the leadership of the ministry and of the “Road Infrastructure” Agency. /API/. The quoted letter is full of false and manipulative suggestions related to information about appointments of officials in the administration. These claims are even more untenable when they are directed at the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
This is stated in an official message from the Regional Ministry sent to the media. Yesterday, the Highway Safety Institute sent information to the media that, according to their research, the officials of the "theatrical affair" have started work at API.
Deputy Minister Veselina Terziyska has no way and cannot appoint anyone either to the API or to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as she does not have such powers. Ms. Terziyska will take the necessary actions to protect her good name.
We also make the following clarification regarding former employees of the Ministry of Culture.
One civil servant returns to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications after submitting a request to terminate his temporary transfer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs pursuant to the so-called tripartite agreement for transfer to another administration for a period of up to 4 years. He is in a permanent legal relationship with the MRRD, and both the right and the initiative for his return to the MRRD are his alone.
Both for this employee and for those appointed in the API there is a fully valid legal basis and the presence of all legal prerequisites.
Both employees are on unpaid leave until all the facts and circumstances of the MK inspection are clarified.
