The GERB suspected that the attempts to create "sanitary cordon" about "DPS - A New Beginning" is an attempt by the PP-DB to escape from talks on forming a majority. This was commented to the Bulgarian National Radio by the deputy chairman of GERB, Daniel Mitov, quoted by BNT. According to him, in case there are election violations, there is an order by which they can be proven and reflected with a change in the National Assembly.
According to Mitov, the PP-DB are "obviously helpless to have a constructive conversation in the parliament":
"Borisov used to say that there is no good DPS, right? And also, while GERB has governed, it has never governed in coalition with DPS, never. The only time there was collaboration between GERB, PP, and DB, and DPS was at the time of the thing we call assembly, which changed the Constitution. In fact, then the DPS was brought by PP-DB to the negotiating table precisely because of their desire to change the Constitution, and then they needed the DPS."
