The MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk published a position on his personal Facebook profile in connection with the news that he was removed from the structure of DPS of which he is a member.
We publish his position without editorial intervention:
“How long will the DP behave like a sole trader or like a dictator and how long will it trample the laws in Bulgaria and vilify magistrates, institutions and authorities as its mercenaries?! Every decision, every act, every position goes through his "check," as if the institutions were his personal property. Most unceremoniously, the DP appropriates to itself the right to determine the fate of an entire people, to appoint magistrates and to control the authorities as if they had been inherited!
I insist that the relevant competence in the state be engaged and to stop the retribution of the emotional explosion and power dissatisfaction of the DP at the expense of the laws, the legal order and the freedom of citizens to determine their party affiliation and to exercise their rights of political conviction according to the constitution written line.
The whole anarchic bacchanalia of the DP in the DPS and at the expense of the DPS is grotesque, in which the Court and the Prosecutor's Office participate with selectivity, with inaction, with acts of bullying or with incriminated shaming of laws. It is high time he faced a real public reckoning and realized that there is no place for "owners" of the state!
Ladies and gentlemen magistrates, ministers and deputies, statehood and democracy in Bulgaria are ahead of your caution, passivity and timidity from the DP. Bulgaria's Euro-Atlanticism is before DP and your emotional connections and considerations towards it.
Who takes away your competence and conscience?”
