Parvan Simeonov: Bulgarian politics is disgusting! - 1

My departure from the “Gallup” is my autonomous decision. I think we showed continuity and freedom with our work. I can responsibly say that we did the best in the last elections as well. Thank you all for your trust and I assure you that I will be an independent and equidistant researcher. This was stated by the sociologist Parvan Simeonov in the program "Face to Face" on BTV.

„The object of study is getting uglier. Bulgarian politics is disgusting. Those in politics have taken themselves too seriously”, he argued.

„I understand DB's motives and that it is difficult for them. Now it is not clear where it is headed. For DB, it turns out to be a problem to balance the sanitary cordon around Peevski and around “Vazrazhdane”. This deadlock in politics creates the difficulty. Now the public mandate is not clear. The people both want a government to be formed, but also for the elections to be cashed. We are in such an absurd situation that we are at a crossroads”, said the sociologist.

„If the same office holds the next elections, it is quite possible that the situation will be more difficult for Borisov, DB and PP. If Mr. Peevski has more votes, which he is working hard for, if new radical formations enter or increase the current ones, then tomorrow it will be more difficult for them to form a government. That's why I don't see any logic in not trying to put something together now”, explained Simeonov.

In his words, tomorrow's assembly may look even more unpopular. And he added that the reasonable option for Bulgaria is what Borisov offers without him being prime minister. “If they continue like this, Borisov will come out in the red, because PP-DB is a more extensible network and they will be able to tell that he is not able to detach himself from his addictions. It may be three times more difficult for GERB in the next elections,”, Parvan Simeonov warned.
