A motorcyclist and his female companion were injured in an accident in Montana, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
The incident occurred yesterday, on the road between Montana and Berkovitsa, at a junction towards the villages of Borovtsi and Zamfirovo.
A 58-year-old Berkovitsa resident was driving a motorcycle and entered an intersection, where he hit the rear left side of a passenger car driven by a 66-year-old man from Vratsa.
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist has a broken pelvis and is admitted to the hospital in Montana, and fortunately his life is not in danger.
His 44-year-old female companion escaped with a fractured toe. She was examined by doctors and released for home treatment.
The two drivers were tested for alcohol and drugs by the police officers who arrived on the scene. Their samples came back negative.
An inspection was carried out and pre-trial proceedings were initiated.
