We are ready to introduce artificial intelligence, which will give us information on what passes through the territory of the country. This was stated by the director of the "Customs" Agency, Georgi Dimov, to journalists at the "Kulata" border checkpoint after Bulgaria became a full member of Schengen.
He explained that the "Customs" Agency, the National Revenue Agency, the "Border Police" and the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" have created, according to the instructions, a new technological order, according to which compensatory and control actions by the structures will be carried out. "In the village of Damyanitsa, at the 17th kilometer of entry into Bulgaria, the new order for carrying out checks on passing heavy goods vehicles was demonstrated for the first time today. With the help of a scanner, trained dogs and a team of control institutions, inspections and checks will be carried out randomly or upon a report. The checks will be carried out within a radius of 30 kilometers from the border," explained Dimov.
