2.5 million Bulgarians are treated in hospital annually. These data were presented to BNT by former Health Minister Petar Moskov.

There are 350 hospitals in Bulgaria. 100 are in Austria. In Sofia alone, there are as many hospitals as in Austria, according to Moskov.
The treasury has become blind to the insane thefts that are taking place, he warned.
Someone has found a way to drain our public resources, said Petar Moskov. At the same time, this public resource is not being protected.
The situation with GPs is tragic, he warned, and expressed concern that the number of GPs is decreasing.
The problem with the lack of medicines will not be solved with vending machines, he said. Moskov noted that there is a lack of a medicine policy.
