An earthquake measuring 2.1 on the Richter scale was registered in Pernik. This is according to data from the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The earthquake occurred at 1:45 p.m. The epicenter is 2.4 km east of Pernik and 24 km from Sofia. The depth of the earthquake was 11 km.
Last week, on April 2, two weak earthquakes were registered near Petrich. One had a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale, the second - 2.8 on the Richter scale. The interval between them was 20 minutes.
