Borislavova: We are ready, despite the inaction of the ruling majority, to solve the problem with the bars - 1

The issue with the bars has been an extremely acute public problem in recent months. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of the parliament by the deputy chairman of the PG of "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Lena Borislavova, a reporter for Novini.bg reported.

Unfortunately, we are witnessing complete inaction on the part of the Ministry of Interior and Minister Mitov, who should be fighting this problem. And yesterday, our request for a hearing was rejected by the ruling majority, Mr. Mitov regularly evades parliamentary control on the subject. Our belief is that this is a key factor for a healthy society, in which there are stable social relations, so that we do not have such outbursts of aggression on the streets of Sofia and other cities. We are ready, despite the inaction of the powerful from the ruling majority, to do whatever is possible with the resources we have to solve this problem. Unfortunately, we observe that our adolescents, due to the lack of good examples, including from those who stand at the top of the state, grow up in a bad environment, Borislavova emphasized.
From "Continuing the change - Democratic Bulgaria" announced that the Sofia Municipality and the Sofia Municipal Council will try to take measures "while the Ministry of Interior is inactive".
We are preparing a program to deal with aggression among adolescents, said the chairman of the Committee for Children, Youth and Sports in the Sofia Municipal Council Dimitar Shalafov. Here we mainly focus on the beneficial influence of sports in solving the problem. We are developing all this together with our colleagues from the regional administrations. We plan to use the levers of local government, which are quite limited compared to those of the state, to start dealing with this problem, because we see that things are getting out of control, Shalafov noted.

The mayor of the "Lyulin" district; Georgi Todorov indicated that a pilot program to combat aggression is being developed. The goal is to attract psychologists, criminologists and other experts who specialize in working with children. This program will include incentives for good behavior for such problem children, so that they perceive that with adequate behavior they would benefit themselves, said Todorov.
