A clip of child abuse blew up the social network. I will immediately personally take action on the case of the 13-year-old who showed aggression against another minor in Vidin. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Assembly of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Atanas Zafirov on Facebook and adds:
It turns out that he is known to the Children's Pedagogical Room at the Vidin Regional Office of the Ministry of Interior for hooliganism and physical aggression. The 13-year-old was returned by police officers to the Crisis Center at the Complex for Social Services for Children and Families in the regional city, where he had been placed since March of this year after a social report was prepared, according to which this service was the most appropriate. A team of relevant specialists worked with him at the center.
On June 22 at 6 p.m., a report of a fight near an establishment in the central part of the city was received by 112. Police officers on duty from the district office immediately headed to the scene. There, they found the 12-year-old victim, who had been hit in the face by another minor. The child was transported to the Central Emergency Center, and after a medical examination, was placed for observation at the “St. Petka” Hospital.
According to the collected data, multiple educational cases have been filed against the 13-year-old perpetrator under the Law on Combating Antisocial Behavior by Minors.
The materials on the file opened in the case were reported today to the Regional Police Department – Vidin. The work on documenting the case continues according to the instructions of a prosecutor from the district prosecutor's office.
I will personally request the materials on all preventive actions around this aggressor and if there are omissions by officials, they will suffer the most severe punishments.
Bulgarian legislation is very limited in terms of measures to influence minors, but what I saw with my own eyes shocked me.
I will initiate a wide range of discussions and real actions to find a solution to this and similar cases, because such views are absurd, unacceptable and anti-human!
