This week, a technical opportunity will be provided to issue fines to road violators captured by the toll system cameras in the country. This became clear from the words of the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov after an inspection of the renovated treatment plant at the "Yasna Polyana" dam in the Primorsko municipality.
"On Tuesday, we will conduct the necessary tests with the Minister of Interior to test this system, which will help to adjust the systems of the Ministry of Interior and BG TOLL. Starting Thursday, the corresponding fines will actually start being issued. And they are serious. My advice to drivers is not to allow such a thing. On Friday alone, we have 68 drivers on the Trakia Motorway who were caught driving in the emergency lane," Ivanov said.
Driving in the emergency lane will be monitored by toll cameras. The fine is 1,000 leva, and the driver's license of the offending driver will be revoked for a period of three months, said Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, who first announced the idea on July 9.
He recalled that unmarked cars will also be driving on the roads, which will also carry out control.
According to Zhelyazkov, the police must step up control activities, especially in the summer season.
