The Ministry of Interior will purchase 13,400 body cameras, which will be distributed among uniformed officers with police powers across the country. The delivery of the new equipment was the topic of a working meeting with the participation of Minister Daniel Mitov, the acting Ambassador of the United States to Bulgaria Martin McDowell and the Commercial Attaché Hanna Kamenetsky. According to the signed agreement, a contractor for the delivery was also selected.
The modern equipment will ensure more transparency, adequate response and efficiency of police actions. It will guarantee the security of both citizens and Ministry of Interior employees in the performance of their duties, especially during incidents and critical situations, the Ministry of Interior press center writes.
