A foreign citizen was injured in an accident in Simitli, the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Blagoevgrad announced, dariknews.bg reported.
The incident was reported yesterday at around 4:00 p.m., when the Second Regional Directorate-Blagoevgrad was reported to have crashed a car in the area of the square in the town of Simitli, next to the Municipal Administration building.
The police officers found a "Citroen" with a Greek license plate and with visible damage to the right side from a traffic accident, the driver, who according to witnesses is a foreign citizen, was also nearby.
The same was in an inadequate condition and was immediately transported to the Emergency Medical Care Center in Blagoevgrad for medical assistance.
The regional prosecutor's office has been notified of the case. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. The work to establish all facts and circumstances continues, the police press center added.
In early June, the police press center in Blagoevgrad reported a self-crashed passenger car in the area of the "Zheleznitsa" tunnel on the "Struma" highway in the direction of Sofia. At that time, traffic to Sofia was diverted along the Simitli - Blagoevgrad road.
