When stupidity and the desire for power collide, they produce disasters. This is what PP-DB did with KPKONPI, said ITN MP Stanislav Balabanov on BNT, quoted by news.bg.
"In parliament, GERB, BSP and ITN have always sought support for the legislative program from all political parties, a huge part of the political parties are giving a sign that they want to work on legislation that is important for the country", commented Balabanov.
"The PP-DB initiatives started when we were in government together. Back then, Kiril Petkov himself wanted to have his own club, so he wanted Boyko Rashkov to head KONPI back then. I personally attended these talks. That's why we took them down, pushed them, because they wanted to turn KONPI into a club", he explained.
"Then they divided KONPI into two during the assembly. The same PP-DB gave the investigative function to the KPKONPI, wanting, whenever they were in power, to have a bat. The records of those they spoke to before me, very clearly show that the leaders of the PP-DB wanted to control the state through institutions in their quest for the KONPI to be theirs".
In his words, the PP-DB themselves have staked the KONPI in the recovery and sustainability plan.
"ITN will do everything possible this week to not allow the KPK to be closed, because 5 billion are at stake", he added.
On Saturday, GERB leader Boyko Borisov announced from Burgas that there was a new majority - of the PP-DB, "Vazrazhdane", MECH, ITN and "DPS - Novo nacholu", which wanted to close the KPK.
