A ridiculous incident in the late hours of August 6 almost ended fatally for a 47-year-old man from the village of Dzhigurovo, after his own car ran over him in the town of Sandanski.
The incident occurred at around 11:45 p.m. on the street “Out of Regulation North“,”, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Blagoevgrad reported.
According to information from the police, the man stopped his car, got out of it and headed to the gate of a private property to close it. At that moment, the car, which was not secured, drove backwards along the steep section and hit him.
The victim has multiple injuries – broken collarbone, fractured hip and three ribs. At the moment there is no evidence of danger to his life.
According to information also disseminated by bTV, negligence when stopping the car was the cause of the incident. There is no evidence of alcohol or other substance use by the driver.
Investigators are working on the case to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
