Two young people died in a car accident near Kotel. The road accident occurred 20 minutes after 02.00 at kilometer 45 on the secondary road in the direction of the village of Gradets.
A car driven by an 18-year-old driver from the town of Kotel lost control and crashed off the roadway. The driver and three passengers were in the car.
A 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old boy died at the scene of the accident. The young driver and an 18-year-old were taken to the hospital in Sliven. The Regional Police Directorate announced that blood samples were taken from the driver to determine the presence of alcohol and narcotics. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
