The father of the 31-year-old man, whose death caused tension in Botevgrad on Monday, spoke to NOVA. “The official cause of my son's death is a massive heart attack, caused by a very strong herb”, revealed Sasho Hristov. According to him, his friends told him that they saw his son with the man he accuses of being a drug dealer. He bought a ball wrapped in foil.

Before he died, the 31-year-old man was treated for 8 months in an addiction center in Samokov, his father said. After he returned home, he was in very good condition – he trained, slept and ate normally. Sasho Hristov filed several verbal complaints, complaining to criminal police officers in the city, against eight people selling drugs. However, he did not write an official complaint to the police.

“There are sometimes police officers who go around the gypsy neighborhood, but why aren't these people in prison, but are walking around freely and selling their drugs”, asks the blackened father. According to him, there is an umbrella over the dealers. Poro, as the nickname of the man he blames for his son's death is, put fentanyl in the marijuana to make smokers more addicted. This is what Hristov claims.

“Drug dealers don't work in a network, they are competitors. Poro, his brother Ivan Pikata and someone they call Vračanina work together. Everyone else is competitors. If they catch Poro, I'll kill him, I declare it! I had one son and for me life is over”, the father claims.

Earlier it became clear that they are searching for a suspected drug dealer, whom residents of Botevgrad accuse of the death of their loved one. He has been detained several times over the years by the Ministry of Interior. The alleged dealer was even under house arrest. According to locals, he distributed marijuana, methadone and amphetamine. Today, the police, mayor and Roma tartars are meeting after tension erupted in the city last night.

We recall that according to the Ministry of Interior, at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, a group of 300 people from the neighborhood set out to look for a resident of the nearby village of Trudovets. After they did not find him, they demolished the house in which he lives. They headed to Botevgrad in an attempt to find others they believed to be drug dealers.

Officers from nearby police departments, the "Gendarmerie" and specialized police forces were dispatched to the scene. No one was injured or harmed, and the situation is now under control, authorities say.
