Roger Waters on Ozzy: Hundreds of years of idiocy and nonsense!; Osbourne's son: You're spewing nonsense, you pathetic! - 1

Six weeks after Ozzy Osbourne's death, Roger Waters criticized the heavy metal legend for bringing “hundreds of years“ “of idiocy and nonsense“ into the culture, provoking an angry response from Osbourne's son, Jack, zrockradio.bg.

On the Independent Ink podcast, the Pink Floyd legend talks about how celebrities in pop culture can distract people from important political issues. Imagining himself as a villain in power, the musician imagined his thought process: “How can we divert [the focus from an important political issue]? I know how! We'll do it with Taylor Swift, or with gum, or with Kim Kardashian's butt.“

Then Waters didn't hesitate to bring Osbourne into the conversation: “… Or Ozzy Osbourne, who just passed away, God forgive him, whatever state he was in his whole life — we'll never know. Yet he was all over the TV, for hundreds of years, with his idiocy and nonsense.“

Black Sabbath's music was not spared either: “The music? I have no idea, I don't care. I don't care about Black Sabbath, I never liked them, I have no interest in… “Wow!!!“ (perhaps imitating Gene Simmons's snort) and biting off chicken heads, or whatever they do. I don't care at all.“

When the host explained to him that Osbourne (coincidentally, it should be clarified) had bitten off the head of a bat, not a chicken, the Pink Floyd legend was even more disgusted: “Oh my God, that's even worse, isn't it? I don't know, is it worse to bite off the head of a bat or a chicken?“

Osbourne's son, Jack, was understandably unhappy with Waters' words and responded with an Instagram story: “Hey, Roger Waters - fuck you. How pathetic and out of touch you have become. The only way to get attention these days is to spew nonsense in the media. My dad always thought you were an asshole – thanks for proving him right.
