Large fire near Sopot. For nearly four hours now, 6 teams of firefighters from Karlovo, Plovdiv and Hisarya have been fighting the elements, informs BNT. The fire started in dry grass, but due to the wind it quickly spread and has engulfed trees, bushes, stubble and vineyards.
At the moment there is no danger to people.
The Sopot Municipality Water Treatment Plant is located nearby.
