Denkov: For many years, Peevski and Borisov have been doing everything possible to ensure that there are no politically independent investigative bodies - 1

In new parliamentary elections, the result will change if more people go to vote. It became clear that there will be new results, "the powerful" will not fix Bulgaria. The mantra "nothing will change after new elections" is to discourage people. If they go to vote, there will be changes," said in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio, the co-chairman of the PP-DB PG, academician Nikolay Denkov.

And he warned that "it would be extremely stupid if the opposition presented its presidential candidate in a month or two":

"What we need to continue is to discuss how we will nominate this candidate - there are different options. He must appear at the right time, and that is in many months."

It is categorical that GERB and Borisov will not be together because:

"We have nothing to do together with GERB and Borisov's behavior. Borisov had a chance to break up with Peevski, and now he is working for his own survival."

"The whole country is boiling and seething, the fact that it is not visible in the protests is because it was August. And it is boiling and seething because people saw that the "powerful" can only do 3 things. The first is to make schemes to steal the money, the second is to appoint people to cover up the schemes, this happens in both the regulators and the justice system. And the third - to constantly lie to cover up the first two things. So many incidents illustrate what I am saying that it cannot be hidden with lies," explained the situation, the co-chair of the PP-DB PG.

Denkov said that he travels a lot around the country and "business there is stressed and terrified by what is coming, by the fact that everyone can be pressured after they were shown off by a few politicians":

"People understand what is happening, but another issue is that in the middle of summer it is more difficult to gather people. But it was necessary to see what kind of energy there was at the protests."

According to him, "the law has not been respected many times in the last 2 months", the prosecutor's office should have immediately sent the detention order to the court. And in one case she was detained for 2 weeks, in the other for a week.

"It is against the law to observe Kotsev's measure in Sofia", he gave as an example.

"The responsibility for observing the law lies with the state. We see selective justice, umbrellas over people in power and over smugglers who are warned to flee – the factory in Plovdiv, or they are released immediately after they are detained, even though they are legendary names from the 1920s in smuggling. And innocent people are being detained to give testimony," the former prime minister also said.

He is categorical about the KPK that it cannot be a politically independent anti-corruption commission:

"Any law, if people are put in place who do not comply with it, you cannot blame those who made the law, but those who put these people in place. And these people are Borisov and Peevski."

Acad. Denkov commented that the PP-DB has proposed top experts for regulators and commissions, but once a nomination commission for the KPK has been formed, then "the game is over":

"The problem is that for many years Peevski and Borisov have been doing everything possible to ensure that there are no politically independent investigative bodies. This is Bulgaria's problem and this problem is the "powers that be" what can they do - steal money and cover up their scheme."

He denies that the mistakes of the PP-DB are the "cleaned image of Peevski", as well as the change to the Constitution, specifically the "home book" for choosing a prime minister.

"Let's be clear, we made mistakes, but they are not this. The mistake of taking away from a self-forgotten presidential institution, to do whatever he wants through official offices, is not a mistake. We also talked a lot about "Botash", justified academician Nikolay Denkov.

And he confirmed that the PP-DB have a fixation not only on Delyan Peevski, but on anyone who does not follow the rules:

"Peevski, due to his character traits, I use the mildest expression, but there is a medical expression for his behavior, demonstrates that he will not follow the rules. And he does not comply with them. That is why everyone's fixation will be on him. When institutions are not respected, the reason is people like Peevski. Institutions constantly lie to people - the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ruse, how many lies were told, and about Ursula von der Leyen's plane, there were contradictory opinions. "

Regarding the vote of no confidence, Denkov said that they had talks with MECH and the text was agreed upon.

"There is already a first version and it needs to be processed. Whoever is ready to support, support us. Will the government fall? It is not a question for us," he said.
