A specialized police operation against drug trafficking was conducted in Ruse under the leadership of the District Prosecutor's Office. During the operation, law enforcement authorities detained a 24-year-old local resident and searched his home, three garages and two cars.
Nearly 200 grams of methamphetamine, about a kilogram of marijuana, electronic scales and packaging materials were seized from there. In one of the garages, the police also found equipment for the production of synthetic drugs. During the searches, mobile phones, a laptop, a DVR video surveillance device and over 7,000 leva in cash were also confiscated.
At the request of the prosecutor's office, the court imposed a preventive measure of "detention in custody" on the detainee for a period of up to 72 hours. The investigation continues, gathering additional evidence about the activities of the illegal drug laboratory.
