A tourist has once again entered the waters of one of the Seven Rila Lakes. The incident happened a few days ago, and other tourists in the area have reported it, BNT reports.

The report was filed with the emergency number 112 over the weekend by tourists in the area. They reported that there was a person bathing undisturbed in the "Babreka" lake.

"The people who filed the report say that he is an Italian. At the same time, our employee is at Ribno Lake and by the time he went to "Babreka" there was no one there. It is very difficult to establish the identity of a person when he is a foreigner. Our statistics are also impressive, that foreigners violate the rules and enter the lakes, we have not found a Bulgarian tourist entering the lakes this year," said Krasimir Andonov, director of the Rila National Park.

The violator has not been sanctioned, as he has not yet been identified. However, tourists who often visit the area condemn such actions, which are becoming more and more frequent.

"The people in general know that one should not enter the lakes, but they do it on purpose," commented Georgi, a tourist.

"We are absolutely against this thing, this is how the environment is polluted. "They always come prepared tourists, so I don't think it's out of ignorance, rather maybe there's no control on our part," said Sonya, a tourist.

Dozens of reports have been filed about tourists violating the rules in the Seven Rila Lakes region.

For entering the waters of any of the lakes, fines start from 500 and go up to 5,000 leva.
