A man who pointed a gun and threatened to kill the mayor of Vetovo was detained, Ruse24.bg learned. Quick proceedings for the hooliganism were initiated against the 40-year-old from Ruse. This happened after a report was made to the police that on May 11 around 09:00 in the city of Vetovo, during the opening of a football event, the ODMVR-Ruse reported.

The 40-year-old man committed acts that grossly violated public order and expressed clear disrespect for society, after he shouted and addressed insulting words and remarks to the mayor of the city of Vetovo in a public place, threatened to take his life and pointed a weapon.

The 40-year-old was detained by officers of the RU - Vetovo. The report has been documented and an investigation has been started - a quick proceeding has been initiated on the inventory of the RU – Veto for a crime under Art. 325 paragraph 2 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and for a crime under Art. 144, para. 1 of the NC. The 40-year-old was charged and ordered to be detained for 72 hours by a decree of the prosecutor's office. Work on the case continues.
