Spanish police find missing Picasso painting Still Life with Guitar

The National Police have found a missing painting by Pablo Picasso in Madrid, BNR reported. The work "Still Life with Guitar" was declared missing on October 3.

According to investigators, the painting was lost during its transport from Madrid to Granada, where it was to be displayed in an exhibition. The work is estimated at around 600,000 euros.

After several weeks of work, the police have determined that the painting never made it to the transport truck. In fact, it never even left the building from which it was supposed to be loaded for the exhibition in Granada.

According to sources close to the investigation, the transport company employees were supposed to pick it up with other works, but they forgot it in the entrance, and a woman who lives in the building kept it at home, believing it was a delivery for someone.

A few days later, her husband told her about the disappearance of the work, and the two decided to notify the police. The employees opened it and confirmed that the box left in the corner contained the missing painting. The images show that the seal in which it was packaged is still intact.

The painting, measuring approximately 13 by 10 centimeters, was painted by Pablo Picasso in 1919.
