This fall, Kazakhstan will host the Astana AI Film Festival (AAIFF 2026) - one of the first international festivals dedicated to films created with the help of high technologies, the Qazinform news agency reports.
The festival will bring together directors, digital artists, representatives of technology companies, industry experts and investors. It is conceived as a platform to promote projects at the intersection of cinema and AI technologies.
The central element of the festival will be an international short film competition. Artists from all over the world are participating.
The program will also include a conference on AI-based content, film presentation sessions for directors and producers, as well as screenings and panel discussions with the participation of international experts.
The festival will cover the entire cycle of content creation - from concept development to final production. Special focus will be placed on emerging formats, including hybrid projects.
The Astana AI Film Festival is expected to become a key platform for professional exchange and development of new directions in the digital content industry.
