This year, the festival, dedicated to the actor, director and theater teacher Dimitar Elenov, will be held from June 14 to 16 on the stage of the "Cabana" cinema. - NDK.
The three-day event aims to create a love of art in children. The festival is a mini-model of Elenov's work – a meeting of established artists who have their experience and authority - with young people who are looking for their mentor in the complicated teenage years, when everyone asks: “what should I become, which path should I take, which direction is the right one, which path is mine?“
The official opening is on June 15, Saturday at 11 a.m., where the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov and the Mayor of Sofia are expected to deliver their messages to the young artists!
WORKSHOP ELENOV’24 is dedicated to the presentation of teachers from different theater schools, each with a different style and vision for preparing for the stage. Their workshops will be held by: Simona Popova, Viktor Lipovski, Tsveta Baliyska, Rumyana Simeonova, Marlena Todorova, Hristiana Stoimenova, Rozita Elenova, etc. Through this continuity, they help many children to discover themselves, to have their first contact with the stage, to realize the complexity of any profession. Speech culture, plasticity are skills that are important at every stage, and the stage predisposes us to realize and develop them.
“Studio Elenov” with his young graduates will present his performance based on Woody Allen, the comedy "Night Fights" on two days: Friday (14.6) at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday (16.6) at 2 p.m.
Rozita Elenova, organizer of the theater festival and director of the foundation, tells more:
"The festival is now in its third year, and this is proof of its sustainability. Of course, we the organizers, as people in love with an extraordinary personality, but also with the art that can give meaning to lives, are persistent and dedicated. This is what our mentor Dimitar Elenov taught us, and we will pass this on to our graduates. We are grateful to the Metropolitan Municipality for the support, during these years, the Culture program stands firmly behind our ideas. And they are appreciated by the public, who already expect at the end of the school year to have an art coupon in the garden of the National Palace of Culture! The quality education of our children goes through art.
Bring your kids! Participate with them in the art studios of the theater teachers. Let's restore ties with each other and remember that the greatest value is communication with our children, with each other, living communication!“
