Sex expert Sarah Mulindwa has revealed the maximum duration of intercourse for men based on age, writes Metro.

According to a 2025 study, the average intercourse for a man aged 18 to 24 lasts 16.14 minutes. “In their 20s, arousal and novelty are very strong, which can lead to a quicker orgasm, but recovery is quick and stamina is generally good. At this stage, it's all about timing - strategic use of pauses, breathing exercises or condoms can help control ejaculation. "However, at any age, communication, technique and pleasure are what matter most, not the timer," she said.

Men aged 25 to 34 typically last 18.29 minutes, Mulindwa continued, although some men report that their intercourse time has decreased to 11 minutes. At this age, she recommends scheduling sex. Men aged 35 to 44 experience a slight decrease in stamina - intercourse lasts 17.4 minutes, while in the 45 to 54 age group, the figure is 14.14 minutes. The specialist attributes this to hormonal changes in the male body and suggests diversifying intimacy with toys, new positions and medications, if approved by a doctor.

Finally, in the 55-64 age group, sex before orgasm lasts 11.3 minutes for men, while for men over 65 it is 8.15 minutes. However, at each age, the most common sexual acts were of medium duration (approximately 10-15 minutes), while very long ones, on the contrary, were rare, Mulindwa noted.
