"Go to your place to get your peignoir fixed… run to Lena, to the railing, drug addict… you're done."
No, I'm not quoting a dispute between small-time drug dealers in a remote neighborhood. I'm quoting the words of the leader of the fourth political force in the Bulgarian parliament. The man on whose shoulders and claims the ruling majority rests. The one who, as he announced today, will build a state with a capital D. Like Delyan.
The reason for Peevski's hysteria today was the fact that he was forced to walk a few meters in the center of Sofia. From "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" blocked traffic in the center of Sofia in protest against the arrest of Blagomir Kotsev, who has been in custody without charge for more than 2 months. It became clear that Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov enter the National Assembly building through a separate entrance, and according to PP-DB, Peevski is transported in the most expensive car available to the National Security Service (NSS).
Peevski's security - a top priority for the state?
Peevski's security itself has been the subject of controversy for a long time, but the scenes that unfolded today demonstrated something else - his security is a top priority for the state. A tight police cordon was set up near the parliament building to escort the MP, who has been sanctioned for corruption by the US and the UK. At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not have enough resources to prevent the brutal desecration of the European Commission building in Sofia in February. Or to defend the theater, when it was almost not stormed during the John Malkovich production in November last year. For the EU and culture - it can't be done, for Peevski - everything.
Boyko Borisov has already openly admitted that without Delyan Peevski, governance is not possible, and the leader of "New Beginning" himself, after having won the party's name, a number of mayors, a nice building in the center of Sofia and a number of other privileges and benefits, is now preparing to build a new "state with a capital D". What kind of country this is, no one knows, but we can guess about some things…
While Blagomir Kotsev remains in custody without charge, state institutions are silent about the allegations of the Bulgarian European Prosecutor Teodora Georgieva about "Chiren", about the suspended construction of Emilian Gebrev's gunpowder factory and about a number of public procurements - cases that are all connected to the name of the major businessman, politician and builder of modern Bulgaria. At the same time, topics like Corpbank and "Bulgartabac" have been conveniently forgotten for a long time.
Peevski has long since built a country
I don't know what kind of country Peevski will build, he has already built one long ago. And in this country, be careful what you ask for and what you do, because if you cause him any discomfort, he will "finish you off". To the winners - congratulations! To the rest of you - hope you catch the plane!
