The Goztepe team, led by Stanimir Stoilov, continued its impressive performance in the Turkish Super League, after defeating Besiktas at home with a decisive 3-0. Juan Santos and Raldney struck a blow in the first half, and in the 85th minute Ibrahim Sabra blew the stands away with an incredible back scissors kick that put an end to the match, BTA reports.
With this victory, the Izmir club climbed to second position with 12 points and is now breathing down the neck of the leader Galatasaray, who, however, has a game less. Meanwhile, Besiktas have slumped to tenth place with just six points.
Göztepe remain one of the most consistent teams in the league – six games without a loss and only two goals conceded since the start of the season.
