Levski easily defeated Spartak Varna 3:1 in their last match of the autumn part of the championship, reports BTA. The guests started the match better and put pressure on the home team. In the 6th minute, Maikon shot dangerously from distance, but goalkeeper Maksim Kovalev caught the ball. In the 16th minute, Levski could have opened the score. Spartak players made a mistake when passing the ball, Maikon took it and shot, but luckily for the home team, it went wide of the goal.
However, in the 21st minute, the capital team opened the score. After Georgi Kostadinov's cross into the home team's penalty area, Matteo Petraschilo slipped and missed the ball, it reached Everton Bala, who from 7-8 meters fired past Kovalev and it stopped in the net.
In the 40th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the guests. After a cross from Christian Makun into the Spartak Varna penalty area, Matteo Petraschilo stepped in for Aldair and the referee Valentin Zhelezov pointed to the penalty spot. However, after VAR intervention, the penalty was overturned, due to the goalkeeper leaving the goal line before the shot. Bala took the penalty kick for the second time, but this time it was accurate - 0:2.
In the 51st minute, Levski scored another goal. Radoslav Kirilov received the ball from the left in the penalty area and released the ball to the far post, where Maikon intercepted it with a twine into the home team's goal for 0:3.
In the 79th minute, the visitors' goalkeeper Svetoslav Vutsov saved a dangerous shot by Georg Stoyanovski. Two minutes before the end, Daniel Halachev found Georg Stoyanovski in Levski's penalty area, who scored the honorary goal for Spartak. Initially, the linesman raised the flag for offside, but after checking with VAR, the goal was recognized. In the 90+5 minute, Borislav Rupanov was brought into an excellent position on the right in the home team's penalty area and shot, but goalkeeper Maksim Kovalev managed to save.
