Italian side Fiorentina are considering sacking head coach Paolo Vanoli just a month after his appointment, as the team is still winless in Serie A and has lost four of seven matches under the 53-year-old specialist, reports Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport.
Fiorentina are bottom of the standings, having suffered a home defeat against 19th-placed Verona, which forced the club to impose a media blackout. The Florentine team has collected only 6 points in 15 Serie A matches and remains the only one without a win in the championship.
Vanoli was appointed on November 7, replacing Stefano Pioli, but the signing of the former Torino and Venezia coach has clearly not led to the desired results.
According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, former Fiorentina coach Giuseppe Iacchini is emerging as one of the first options to replace Paolo Vanoli, but the club is still analyzing the situation.
