Everton Bala continues to be one of Levski's brightest players this season. With his goals, assists and increasingly tangible influence on the game of the “Blues“, the Brazilian is establishing himself as a key figure in the squad. However, he himself points to one word as the basis of his good form - confidence. Otherwise, one of the main reasons for his growth is the change in his role on the pitch. Instead of being fixed in one position, as in Brazil, where he mainly played as a left winger, in Levski he is used in a far more diverse plan, Sportal.bg reported.

“I play as a playmaker, “false nine”, winger, even a striker. This makes me more confident because I know I can adapt. In modern football, you can't rely on just one position," explains the Brazilian.

Despite this flexibility, he doesn't hide where he feels strongest - on the left flank. That's where, according to him, he can best use his dynamics and create scoring opportunities. Working with coach Julio Velasquez has also had a serious impact on his development, especially in understanding the game and moving in the half-spaces.

What impresses him most about Levski is the emotion around the club and the support of the fans, even on away games.

„Passion. This is what distinguishes Levski. Wherever we play, the fans are with us. This is something special and makes you give even more.“

It is precisely because of this connection with the supporters that the missed victory in the derby with CSKA leaves a bitter taste.

„It hurts a lot. It felt like after a loss. We wanted to win and make the fans happy, but we conceded a goal at the end. This shouldn't happen“, he admits.

Despite Levski's good position in the standings, Bala refuses to talk about a title yet.

„We don't do calculations. In football, everything changes quickly. We go into every match to win – that's the most important“, he said.
