Yannick Sinner has advanced to the third round of the British Open, Bulgarian National Radio reported. The world number one easily defeated Aleksandar Vukic 6:1, 6:1 6:3.

In the first two sets, the Australian was unable to resist Sinner, who demonstrated his class in front of the audience on center court.

In the third part, the 93rd-ranked Vukic managed to improve his performance, but the Italian ended the match in just 100 minutes from his sixth chance.

Yanik Sinner, who has not yet won "Wimbledon", will play against unseeded Spaniard Pedro Martinez in the third round. The Italian has not made a breakthrough in this year's British Open.

The representative of the home team, Jack Draper, who is number 4 in the main draw, was eliminated in the second round after a 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 4-6 defeat to Marin Cilic. The Croatian is ranked 83rd in the world and is a former US Open champion and a 2017 Wimbledon finalist.

Cilic hit 53 winners in the two-hour, 40-minute match.

The Croatian will next play Spaniard Jaume Munar, who eliminated Hungary's Fabian Marozsán 6-2, 6-3, 7-6 (9).

No. 21 Tomas Mahach (Czech Republic) ended his Wimbledon campaign with a dramatic 6-7 (5), 7-6 (8), 7-6 (5), 5-7, 6-7 (5) loss to qualifier August Holmgren (Denmark).
