Iga Swiontek advances to Wimbledon after beating Danielle Collins

Iga Swiontek (pictured) easily defeated Danielle Collins in the third round of "Wimbledon" 6-2, 6-3, BTA reports. The 10th-seeded Emma Navarro eliminated last year's champion Barbora Krejcikova from the tournament - 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Swiontek, the world number 1, broke the American's serve in the third and fifth games of the first set, then ended the portion of her own serve. Collins, who beat the Pole in Italy in May, never got into the match, committing 25 unforced errors and being broken again in the first game of the second set.

Despite winning five Grand Slam titles, Swiatek has never made it past the quarterfinals of the grass-court tournament at Wimbledon. The world number one will next face Clara Tauson, who beat Elena Rybakina 7-6(6), 6-3.

Krejcikova's title defense only reached the third round after the Czech played a weak third set, in which she even took a medical timeout to take her blood pressure. Emma Navarro broke her in the fifth game and Krejcikova was visibly worn down, winning just one more game to go. Navarro will face Mira Andreeva in the fourth round of the tournament in London.
