Bayern Munich won the German Super Cup. The Bavarians won 2:1 against Stuttgart, BTA reported.
Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 18th minute, crowning the stronger play of the champions. In the 24th minute, the Spanish from the Munich club Nick Voltemade tried to equalize, but goalkeeper Manuel Neuer intervened decisively.
Michael Oliseh missed a shot on Stuttgart's goal before the end of the first half, and veteran Neuer again distinguished himself with good saves after the break.
In the 77th minute, Bayern's new signing Luis Diaz made the score 2:0 after a cross from Serge Gnabry. The former Liverpool player scores for the first time in an official match for the Bavarians.
Last season's German Cup winners pulled one back in extra time through Jamie Lewelling. Bayern Munich won the country's Super Cup for a record 11th time.
