Kuzman Iliev to FACT: In 2013, Peevski got involved with Borisov and became politically connected (VIDEO) - 1

Is there a reason for the protest we saw in the capital to be so big? Yes - because we have real economic problems, which we - from “Bulgaria Can“, have been talking about for a long time. Talking about them, explaining them - that's our job. And we've been doing this since March. We say that the budget is not good, that there will be a deficit, that it's wrong. And those who are riding the protest now are using public discontent in an immoral way. I'm talking specifically about Assen Vassilev. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the “FACT“ studio and the show “Conversation“ Kuzman Iliev, leader of the party “Bulgaria Can“.

“PP–DB with their votes of no confidence were supposedly against corruption and fiscal problems, but in reality they strengthened the government. Now we – from “Bulgaria Can“, who did not participate in this mess, but we talked about it, because we were the ones who said that this was coming - then they accused us of being Putin's agents. We were like that because we said that there were problems in the treasury. They made us believe that we wanted to stop Bulgaria from joining the eurozone. No - we do not want Bulgaria in this eurozone, when there is no money and no jobs in the EU. We must get our gold back. And then everyone laughed, and today…“, added the guest.

“Now PP–DB are riding on public discontent. And we – from “Bulgaria can“ – we sit on the sidelines and tell the truth to the people until real protests emerge that lead to change. A quick analysis of the behavior of PP–DB at these protests and what is actually happening. In 2013, they elected Peevski as head of SANS. Then PP was not there, but people came out to a protest, which I also went to. I thought then that something would change. That was the moment. But right then – in 2013, Peevski got close to Borisov and became very economically and politically tied. And then he understood the mechanisms of the state“, Iliev also commented.
