Petar Petrov in front of FACT: People do not want silence anymore, they want resignation (VIDEO) - 1

From „Vazrazhdane“ we believe that the protest wave of recent days clearly shows the direction in which the public mood is going, and the demand for the government's resignation has become massive. Did the PP–DB steal our idea? „Vazrazhdane“ has long been demanding the resignation of this government, because it is harmful. I am glad that the PP–DB have finally adopted this idea. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the „FAKT“ studio and the show „Conversation“ Petar Petrov, MP from „Vazrazhdane“.

„It is clear that the political formations sensed things during the protests — where is the wave going. We saw and heard how hundreds of thousands — not only in Sofia — chanted “resign“ and decided to take advantage. We have nothing against it. We believe that the protests should continue until the resignation of this government is achieved“, added the guest.

“Now is the time for Bulgarian society to stop being silent. People do not want more silence, they want resignation. People see the increase in prices, they see speculation. They come out to protest because the executive branch is doing everything possible not to respect their demands, violates fundamental rights and does not represent the citizens. We insist on measures against high prices, inflation and the risk of excessive deficit. People are not protesting “for“ or “against“ the eurozone. They want a state policy that will guarantee not only the present, but also their future &mdquo; with higher incomes, more security, higher pensions“, Petrov also commented.

“We do not think that the issue of a possible alliance with the PP-DB was at all important for the protesters. I do not think that anyone in the square was concerned about this yesterday. People chanted “resignation“. They wanted a change in the governance model and, according to them, the next logical step is early elections. People en masse want not only resignation, but also elections. I hope that they will continue to protest — but also to go out to vote, to participate in the electoral process, to guard the polling stations. Only then can we as a civil society achieve real change that will derive meaning from these protests“, the guest also said.
