The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Sirsky announced that the Defense Forces have regained control of seven settlements in the Donetsk region, without specifying which settlements they are, Ukrainkaya Pravda reports, Focus writes.
"The operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, in the direction of Dobropol, continues. The advance of our troops into the depth of the enemy's defense is from 3 to 7 kilometers. Control has been restored in seven settlements, nine have been liberated from enemy DRGs. In total, 160 km² were liberated during the operation, and another 171 km² are released from the DRG.“
He also added that the losses of the Russian Federation in manpower during these military clashes reached 2456 people, of which 1322 are irretrievable.
''The occupiers also lost 817 units of weapons and military equipment.
Of these: 12 tanks, 37 armored combat vehicles, 162 artillery systems, 5 MLRS, 382 vehicles, 58 motorcycles, 1 unit of special equipment and 160 unmanned aerial vehicles''.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening address on September 19 announced that Ukrainian soldiers are continuing counter-offensive operations in the Donetsk sector of the front.
