Russia "categorically rejects" speculation that it was involved in the drone flights that led to the closure of Danish airports twice this week, reports "Agence France-Presse".
The Russian embassy in Denmark called the incidents "a staged provocation".
"It is obvious that the incidents related to the reported disruptions at Danish airports are a staged provocation", the diplomatic mission said.
"The Russian side categorically rejects the absurd speculation about its involvement in the incidents", the embassy added.
Earlier in the day, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen assured that the country was not under direct military threat, but noted that this incident "does not look like a coincidence".
