Russian forces mistakenly shot down their own military aircraft during air defense against Ukrainian drone attacks over occupied Crimea, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk reported, quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
"They were repelling Ukrainian attacks so actively that today they shot down their own aircraft over Crimea. The fighting continues. All information is being collected in Crimea," Pletenchuk said., Pletenchuk told "Apostrophe" TV.
Two powerful explosions were heard on the night of October 17 in Simferopol and the Simferopol region. Oil depot on fire in Gvardeyskoe.
According to preliminary information, the oil depot in Gvardeyskoe, belonging to the ATAN gas station network, was hit. The network is part of the company "Kedr" OOD, which owns the largest chain of gas stations in Crimea, as well as storage facilities and a fleet of fuel tankers.
