The Zaporizhzhia NPP was reconnected to external power supply after a 30-day outage, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi announced in X, quoted by the BBC.
A statement from the agency specifies that repair work on the 750 kV "Dneprovskaya" power line have been completed, and the restoration of the 330 kV "Ferrosplavnaya" line is currently underway.
"Restoring power supply is a key step in ensuring nuclear safety," the IAEA chief wrote.
The TASS news agency also reported on the nuclear power plant's connection to external power supply, citing the plant's management.
The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was left without external power supply for 30 days. Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of shelling that prevented the restoration of power supply.
