"A drone wall" will not be able to protect NATO airspace and stop Russia's hostile actions. This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius to "The Times".
According to him, the drone wall would be a very ambitious project.
We should not let our expectations be too high, Pistorius emphasized. "A rock-solid drone wall that can never be breached is not realistic for now. But it could reduce the number of drones during a potential attack. In the meantime, we will have to continue to defend all NATO airspace," he explained.
The minister noted that it is difficult to prove that Russia carried out the recent drone incursions into NATO airspace. However, he stressed that there is strong evidence, such as the flight paths and the type of systems used, that "clearly show" that Moscow is behind the incidents.
