British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said today that the European leaders of the "Coalition of the Willing" must agree to complete the work on using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine's defense, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"We must agree to complete the work on Russia's sovereign assets and unblock billions (of dollars) to help finance Ukraine's defense," Starmer told European leaders at the meeting in London.
"The United Kingdom is ready to act together with the EU to achieve this as quickly as possible," he added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, addressing the "Coalition of the Willing", once again emphasized that his country needs the ability to strike deep into Russian territory. He again mentioned that he wants to receive "Tomahawk" missiles from the United States. Zelensky added: "As soon as (Russian President Vladimir) Putin felt pressure and the possibility of "Tomahawks" appearing in Ukraine, he immediately declared his readiness to resume negotiations."
