The new Russian nuclear submarine "Khabarovsk" was launched in Severodvinsk, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on its Telegram channel, News Onair reports, quoted by Focus.
The newest Russian nuclear submarine is named "Khabarovsk". It is designed to carry the underwater nuclear drone "Poseidon", also known as the "Doomsday missile", capable of intercontinental travel and massive destruction.
"Khabarovsk" was solemnly launched at the "Sevmash" shipyard in Severodvinsk by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, in the presence of the Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Alexander Moiseev and other senior shipbuilding officials.
Belousov called this an important moment for the Russian Navy.
The new submarine is designed to destroy (and also radioactively pollute) ports and naval bases both with its own destructive weapons and with the tsunami that occurs when the nuclear weapons it fires explode.
