I would do it! Kim Jong-un is considering another meeting with Donald Trump next year - 1

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is open to a new meeting with US President Donald Trump and may seek the opportunity to hold it in March next year, The Independent reports. This was reported by South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) on Tuesday, quoted by local media, Focus writes.

According to the agency, Pyongyang may try to resume contacts with Washington under "appropriate conditions". "Kim Jong-un is ready to engage in dialogue with the United States and will make contact when the conditions are met," said lawmaker Lee Song-kyun after a briefing at the NIS.

The North Korean leader has previously said he would meet with Trump if Washington "abandons its plans for the country's denuclearization and accepts the reality of peaceful coexistence." Both leaders have already shown a willingness to resume contacts. During his latest Asian tour, Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he was "open to meeting" with Kim Jong-un.

""I would. If you want, spread the word - I'm ready for that," he said.

Trump said such talks could be part of his next trip to Asia, but did not specify specific dates. "We will return and meet with Kim Jong Un in North Korea in the near future," he added.

Kim and Trump held three historic meetings between 2018 and 2019, the last of which saw Trump become the first sitting US president to set foot on North Korean soil. In recent statements, the two leaders have continued to speak positively of each other, with Kim saying he "still has good memories of President Trump" and Trump saying the two "have a great relationship."
