Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 450 drones and 45 missiles in a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy sector and other infrastructure, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
Zelensky again called on Kiev's allies to impose sanctions on Russian energy.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko said in turn today that Russian strikes in Ukraine had damaged several major energy facilities in the Kiev and Poltava regions in the central part of the country and in the northeastern Kharkiv region, Reuters reported.
"The enemy has again deliberately targeted energy infrastructure," Sviridenko wrote on the "Telegram" application, adding that the efforts of emergency teams are now focused on locating the damage and restoring power.
